New regulations for real estate agents in Mallorca have been implemented to ensure better professionalism and consumer protection in the sector.
These changes include the creation of a compulsory register for all real estate agents operating in the Balearic Islands.
Agents are now required to meet several new criteria, including having civil liability insurance, maintaining continuous professional training, and having a physical address in the Balearic Islands.
Additionally, agents must provide detailed information about properties and clearly establish marketing conditions through signed contracts.
Any real estate activities not complying with these requirements will be considered illegal and subject to sanctions.
These measures aim to bring order to the real estate market, enhance transparency and protect the consumers.
