La Zenia is the area for those who want to be in the middle of the action and have walking distance to everything you might need during your stay in Spain. The border between Playa Flamenca and La Zenia is often difficult to pinpoint as the areas intersect. Here you have life all year round with many good restaurants, bars and not least Zenia Boulevard's shopping center with its huge selection of over 100 stores, several activities for children and a large selection of restaurants. The location is privileged with walking distance to several lovely sandy beaches such as La Zenia Beach and Cala Capitán, and you also have proximity to green areas and numerous golf courses, including Villamartin, Campoamor, Las Ramblas and Las Colinas.
If you want to stay really close to the beach, take a closer look at La Zenia's old sections on the beach side of the 332 national road. Here the houses are characterized by Spanish charm and detached houses are mixed with apartments and bungalows. On the other side of the road is the center with slightly newer housing and more townhouse variants. In recent years, a lot of new construction has also been added.
La Zenia is a good alternative, both for those who are looking for a year-round residence or who are planning to visit the property sporadically during the year. Getting to and from Alicante Airport is easiest via AP-7 and it takes about 40 minutes.
